How much does Kintree cost?
Kintree is free to use for a single tree up to 40 individuals. You can continue building a tree without limitations for a single payment of $79 USD.
Why can’t I see everyone on the tree at the same time?
It is generally not possible to show all family members across multiple generations of a family tree at once, without confusing crossing lines. Kintree is already optimised to show as many as possible based on the selected focus person.
How do I change the order of siblings?
Add the birth date of each person, and they will automatically be reordered according to age.
How do I share my tree with my family members?
There are two ways to share your tree.
- You can make the tree public by going to your profile page, clicking the ‘edit’ button next to the tree name, and marking the tree as public. Please note that doing this means that anyone with the URL can view the tree and information of the individuals.
- If the person you wish to invite is on your tree, select them, click the edit button on the top right hand corner, and click the ‘Add Collaborator’ button. You will then be prompted to enter the email address of your family member, and they will be invited to collaborate on your tree. This is the recommended approach.
